Bob in need of a job, a buddy with a building and backyard bonfires… that’s how it all began.
It was shortly after Hurricane Katrina, and Bob Taylor had just lost the restaurant he ran for 11 years. He needed a job, and the community needed something positive and uplifting… a place to enjoy good food and good company.
A friend’s Pass Road building was the perfect place, and gatherings with friends and family provided welcomed input. So, what to call it? Bob’s wife Laura came up with a list, but everyone agreed that one stood “high” above the rest… High Cotton Grill. Because in High Cotton, spirits are always up and times are always good!
Rob Heffner, a fellow restaurant enthusiast, joined Bob in his pursuits, and they started cooking up ideas for their unique dishes.
Today, High Cotton Grill continues to provide a comfortable atmosphere where friends and family can enjoy delicious food made from the freshest ingredients and original recipes.
In January 2008, High Cotton Grill opened its second location in D’Iberville to share its good food and good times with the other side of town.
“We welcome you to the High Cotton Grill. We are dedicated to providing you great food made from the finest ingredients and friendly service in a clean, relaxed environment. Enjoy your visit, and we hope to see you again soon!” – Bob & Rob
