Gulf Coast Restaurant Group (GCRG) has closed its High Cotton Grill D'Iberville location as of Saturday, October 29.

Bob Taylor, president of GCRG, says, “We opened High Cotton following Hurricane Katrina, to provide a place for families and friends to enjoy good food and fun times.  We successfully fulfilled that mission for many years in both Gulfport and D’Iberville.” 

He continues, “GCRG has been focusing its efforts on building upon the success of Half Shell Oyster House.  With High Cotton’s lease up for renewal in D’Iberville, we felt this was the best time to fully concentrate on expanding Half Shell Oyster House.  We will miss our High Cotton family, but we hope some of them will join us in our other restaurants.”

Half Shell Oyster House currently has two locations, Gulfport and Biloxi.  A third location will open in Sarasota, Fla. in December 2011.  GCRG is exploring other expansion opportunities for Half Shell in Hattiesburg and Louisiana.
